This song was written to honor the memory of a former student Tabitha Heftie, who in 2020 died in a car accident. In the days, weeks, and months after the funeral I kept being inspired by stories from friends and family members as she had passages in the bible underlined referencing Mary, in particular Mary's Song. This inspired me and this melody came to me and it was an honor to record and polish with my daughter Elizabeth Marie. Thank you Mary, for your "Yes."
