Todd Krier graduated high school from Emery, South Dakota in 1997. He studied choral music with Dr. Charles Canaan at South Dakota State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2002.  Krier then received his Masters in Music Education from the University of South Dakota in 2005.  He was named Teacher of the Year at West Central High School in Hartford, South Dakota, where he taught K-12 vocal music for 3 years.  Krier moved to Albuquerque with his wife Kelly and taught at Eisenhower Middle School for two years before transitioning to Eldorado High School for four years as the Director of Choral Activities. Upon his return to the Midwest, he was director of the Lincoln Continentals barbershop choir for 5 years. Currently, Krier is most excited to be the co-director of Choral Activities at Pius X High School in Lincoln, NE. At Pius X High School, he is able to share his love and passion for his faith and music while leading the Men’s Choir, Sotto Voce Advanced Mixed choir and the acaFellas Barbershop group. He also leads the barbershop club at Pius. Krier also helps with worship at St. Joseph’s parish and is very active in his barbershop octet Paternal Instinct.

Todd’s mission is to inspire others to use their voices to bring joy, beauty and truth into our broken world. Every church, every music program/group/choir are very unique. Maybe, you will find a song that resonates with you.
